Col. Henry Whitehorn Named New Shreveport Police Chief

whitehorn2007-05-31-1180661519.jpgThursday night, Col. Henry Whitehorn, superintendent of the Louisiana State Police, was named as Shreveport's new Police Chief. The decision comes after 6 months of searching that included 18 finalists for the position. Col. Whitehorn has served with the State Police for over 25 years and, before that, served on the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. The U.S. Air Force veteran has a criminal justice degree from LSU-Shreveport and a criminal justice master's from Grambling University.
