
Texas Agriculture Commissioner Todd Staples announced this week that customer complaints led to inspectors finding thousands of stations cheating customers out of gas by manipulating their pumps. Starting Friday, May 25th, station owners will be find $100 for each inaccurate pump. Inspectors with the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry were also out in force this week inspecting pumps throughout the state. Here's what to look for: Price jumping...that's when you see the price and fuel amount showing up on the display before you start filling up.
