Memorial Day Checkpoints Planned

By: Staff
Updated: May 24, 2007
vCaddo Parish deputies will be conducting sobriety and occupant protection checkpoints this holiday weekend. The sobriety checkpoint will be on Friday evening, May 25, and the occupant protection checkpoint will be on Monday afternoon, May 28.

Both checkpoints are funded by a grant from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and overseen by the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission. Sheriff Prator reminds everyone to always buckle up. Designate a sober driver whenever you are going to consume alcohol. Make travel plans that allow sufficient time to arrive at your destination without having to speed or drive tired. Report unsafe and aggressive drivers to your local law enforcement agency.
