More than a hundred bikers are making their way to the nations capital, all in support of our nations troops. Many of them are veterans themselves..
"These are not only Vietnam Veterans that were riding in it. We have Gulf War veterans. we have guys that are riding in it that have served in Iraq. And theyre supporting the troops and thats the main thing," said biker Mickey Lowe.
Its called "Run For the Wall". More than a thousand bikers riding across the country on a week and a half long trek to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial..
"It is awesome to see that many bikes and to see them come together in Washington DC," said "Run For the Wall" supporter Linda Luck.
The bikers plan to arrive just in time for Memorial Day. Vietnam Veteran Mickey Lowe says the journey serves a reminder of what the holidays all about.
"Its just a holiday for a lot of people. But this is a day that we should honor our servicemen that served our country gave us the freedom that we have," said Lowe.
"Run For the Wall" biker will make several stops on the way to the Nations Capital, Carrying with them a reminder of the men and women who make our freedom possible.
"We call it rolling thunder. We roll that banner out... Its pride in our country and in the fact that I was able to serve our country," said Lowe.
Run For The Wall Bikers" expect to make it Washington D.C. by Friday.
