Bossier Parish Sees Second Heat Related Death

Bossier Parish sees it`s second heat related death this week. According to Bossier Sheriff`s Deputies, 62-year-old Karen Waszak of Princeton was found gasping for air by deputies during a welfare check. She died while being transported to the hospital. Authorities say her body temperature was 108.5 degrees. Deputies say Waszak`s air conditioner was broken and supposed to be fixed today, but the repairman didn`t make it there in time.

Police arrest suspect in stabbing

An argument between two brothers ends with a stabbing in the cedar grove neighborhood.

it happened shortly after 11 this morning at the corner of 73rd and southern avenue in shreveport.

police say 26 year old edward bouya was stabbed in the chest by his 16 year old brother.

bouya was taken to a local hospital with non- life threatening injuries..

his brother is charged with aggravated battery... His name is being with held because he is a minor..
