A four year old Carthage Texas boy is dead tonight after allegedly being sexually assaulted by a man who lived in the family's home. The parents owned Cheung's Garden, a Carthage restaurant. Friends say it was not unusual for them to open their home to employees who needed a place to stay. But, police believe one of those employees took their child's life and now an entire community is grieving. Four year old Joey Zhang-Liu was sexually assaulted and murdered while in his bed early Sunday morning. His mother was the one who found him. "They discovered the child rolled in a comforter and they could tell he was bleeding and turning blue," Jim Van over, assistant chief of the Carthage Police Department, said. Police say the culprit is 27 year old Rogelio Chavez Garcia, an employee at the family's restaurant who lived in their home. Van over says he confessed to the murder during questioning. The Liu-Zhang family aren't the only ones missing Joey tonight. Locals say they were drawn to the family's restaurant not just because of the food, but, because of Joey. Despite their shock, flowers and bears are taking the place of words; honoring a child they'll never forget. Garcia faces capital murder charges. He's being held at the Panola County Jail on $12 million bond.
