zA 16-year-old Shreveport boy was arrested Wednesday for soliciting another teen to kill his father. Caddo sheriff’s deputies responded to a juvenile complaint at the suspect’s residence in north Shreveport around 10:30 p.m. During the investigation, deputies were told that the boy admitted to his parents that he had hired another teen to kill his father. About an hour earlier, police say an armed teen went to the father’s home inside Shreveport city limits.

When a woman answered the door at that home, she saw the gun, slammed the door, and locked it. The suspect in that incident was described as a young black male wearing a black jacket and blue jeans. The case remains under investigation. The teen who admitted to the solicitation was booked into the Caddo Juvenile Detention Center. The teen who committed the assault with the gun is still being sought.
