No Budget Pains For Airline High

It`s Back To School time here in the Ark-La-Tex! In Bossier Parish students head back on Wednesday. Some will return to Airline High School where administrators have been working on financial problems for much of the summer. At the end of May, more than 50,000 dollars was unaccounted for in some athletic accounts but with the help of auditors and a new plan the deficit is no more. "That has been solved, we have a new bookkeeper, we have met with the principal, he is actually going to have somebody else handle day to day operations," said Superintendent Ken Kruithof. This summer, Airline`s principal also discussed options with the school board about increasing the balance of the school`s general fund. That could be done by adding surcharges to fundraisers and school functions.
