jjThe idea is that, with accredited status, students who go to Bossier Parish schools will have a better chance of getting into college or being hired for the job of their choice. Gaining accredited status is simple, a team of consultants will come in to evaluate a school's vision and objectives. The consultants will then decide whether or not the schools in the district meet the set standards. If they do the district receives national accreditation. The process to get the recognition could take up to two years. Board members plan to start the process as soon as possible.
