MUDBUGS COME UP STRONG IN CHL "BEST OF THE BEST" POLL

BOSSIER CITY, LA -- The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs are once again well-represented in the CHLs annual "Best of the Best" poll. The Mudbugs took home the number one ranking of "Hardest Working Team" among all seventeen teams. Several players received individual recognition for their work this season. John DeCaro is listed as number two for "Best Goaltender". Quade Lightbody earned the number two ranking for "Best Defensive Defenseman". Forbes MacPherson is rated number three for "Best Player on Face-Offs". Mudbugs Captain Dan Wildfong is number one in two categories including "Best Leader" and a brand new category, "Most Annoying Player". Recognition extended beyond the roster as Mudbugs Head Coach Scott Muscutt was awarded third place in the "Best Coach" category. Other awards credited towards the organization and fans include a number two ranking for "Best Fans" and the number one listing for "Best Booster Club" going to the Mudbug Boilers. CenturyTel Center is listed as the second "Hardest Building to Win In" and the third ranking for "Best Locker Rooms", plus a number two listing for "Best Arena Concessions". Clawed, the Mudbugs Mascot, received the honor of third in the "Best Mascot" category. The poll was issued to all seventeen CHL teams and is a compilation of input from coaches, players and front office personnel.
