A man who was a babysitter for several families over the years was arrested by the Caddo Sheriff’s Office for rape. Kedrick Lavon Johnson, 22, was booked into Caddo Correctional Center on two counts of aggravated rape after being indicted by a Caddo Parish Grand Jury. Johnson was arrested in Smith County, Texas, and was extradited on Friday. Caddo Sheriff’s Investigator Dorothy Brooks said Johnson is accused of sexual activity with at least two children, a 5-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl, for whom he babysat. The children were not related and lived in separate households. The incidents occurred around 2002 but were not reported until recently. No bond has been set on his charges.
