 Experts say the signs of abuse are hard to miss. Physical signs include unexplained injuries or bruises. Experts say many times, parents abuse their children because of social circumstances. Those who deal with abused and neglected kids say if you think a child is being abused you should let someone know, calling police is a good place to start. You can also call the YWCA. In Shreveport, you can call their Crisis Line at 318-222-2117 or their Sexual Assault Line at 318-222-0556.
