Updated: March 8, 2007
67 year old Edward Walton of Natchitoches, Louisiana left for a fishing trip on the Cane River Tuesday but never returned home. Natchitoches Parish Sheriffs Deputies discovered Waltons body Wednesday morning, after searching into Tuesday night. Detectives do not suspect foul play. They believe Walton merely fell overboard and drowned. His family called police just after sundown on Tuesday, saying it was odd for Walton to stay out on the river so late.
