A Shreveport Police motorcycle officer was injured this morning when his cycle slammed into a police patrol car on Bert Kouns Drive near the intersection of Millicent Way. An investigation is underway to determine if the officer was hit by another vehicle before his motorcycle hit the car. Police say at least two witnesses report they saw a white pickup truck driven by a white male hit the cycle and then take off. Officer Dwayne Farquar was rushed to Willis-Knighton Pierremont complaining of pain in his side indicating he may have suffered broken ribs. His condition has not be released but it is believed his injuries are not life threatening.
