Local businesses know it's not just about cameras and lights. Film industry leaders are requesting the rapid response of doctors, dentists and 24 hour 7 day a week services. "We've got to learn how to cater ourselves to what it is that they are used to. For us to come to a symposium like this and find out what they need, we can change our services to better their needs,” admitted Michael Larey, One Eyed Jack.
"Building up additional hotel space is important; we are all having people who come in. There are a lot of pieces of the puzzle that could come together,” said Lampton Enochs, Producer of “Harold and Kumar 2.” Even though Shreveport-Bossier has managed to woo award winning Hollywood producers along with the producers from "Homeland Security" and "Harold and Kumar 2," they are requesting immediate help in one area. "We have to increase our crew base; it's the most important thing we need to do right now. The crew is an intricate part of the infrastructure of film making. We don't have the technicians right now to support the level of business,” commented Enochs.
