Authorities are investigating the death of a dog tonight.  It was found near a church on Wallace Lake Road in Shreveport.

It had been skinned.  Caddo Parish Constable Eric Hatfield told us the dog was skinned like someone would skin a deer.  There were no other signs of trauma and he says the dog may have been skinned while it was still alive.  The breed has not been determinded, but they beleive it was someone's pet because it's nails were trimmed and the paws were clean and smooth as if it were an inside dog.

Caddo Animal Control is now investigating this incident.

We have a reporter talking with officials and will have more on this tonight at 10pm.

Comments

There are just no words for this, but I do hope that animal control takes this seriously and does everything in their power to find who did this. I really wish that someone else would check this out. We do not have strict enough laws here.
