The bus driver involved in an accident at Caddo Middle Magnet continues to recover at a local hospital.

Monday morning, bus 477 was dropping off students when a steel gate hit the bus above the driver side front tire.

A Caddo Parish school board member tells NBC 6 the driver's foot has been amputated.  Despite the surgery they say the driver is still in good spirits and expected to recover.
