Teen crash deaths rose in 2012

As teens plan for prom this spring, a national report's findings remind parents to warn their children about the dangers of getting behind the wheel.

According to the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission, the report showed that U.S. 16 and 17 year olds' car crash deaths jumped 19% the first half of 2012.  However, state officials say the number of crash deaths for the same age group remained the same in Louisiana.

They still want parents to remember that alcohol is still a main factor behind fatal accidents for teens.
