MAGNOLIA, Ark. - Coming off of a pivotal series win against the No. 28-ranked Harding Bisons, the Southern Arkansas baseball team remains nationally-ranked in the three NCAA Division II baseball polls that were released on Monday.

The Muleriders (18-9, 12-3 GAC), who took two of three from Harding in their only action of the week, remained ranked as high as No. 17 according to the D2baseball News poll.

In the other national polls, the Muleriders gained ground as they climbed from No. 20 to No. 18 in the College Baseball Lineup poll and vaulted from No. 26 to No. 19 in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper poll. The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) National Poll will not be released until Tuesday, March 19th.

In the series against Harding, the Muleriders got a thrilling walk-off grand slam from David Harris in the opener and a dominant four-hit shutout from Philip Menou in the finale as they captured their fifth conference series of the season.

In the upcoming week, the Muleriders will have travel to Arkadelphia, Ark on Tuesday to take on Henderson State in non-conference mid-week action. For the weekend, the Muleriders will face their stiffest test to this point in the season as they will travel to Russellville, Ark. to take on the No. 19-ranked Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys in a battle for the top-spot in the Great American Conference standings.

The series with Arkansas Tech is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22nd.
