NSU grabs 14 seed in NCAA tournament

The Southland Conference Tournament champs, Northwestern State, were slated a 14 seed by the NCAA selection committee. They will face three seed Florida in the second round of the NCAA tournament.

Mike McConathy's Demons will meet the Gators in Austin, TX on Friday, March 22nd.

After winning the Southland Conference tournament, NSU earned an automatic bid into the NCAA tournament.

The matchup pits two potent offenses against one another. The Demons enter the matchup as the highest scoring team in the nation, averaging over 82 ppg.

Florida meanwhile, ranks No. 27 in the nation in three-point field goal percentage.
