Texarkana Police nab bank robber

A man is in jail after trying to rob a bank in Texarkana.

The incident happened around 1:30 p.m. at the Bank of the Ozarks in the 2600 block of Richmond Road.

Matthew Schlatre, 55, was taken into custody after authorities found him waiting in the bank lobby. 

Before police arrived Schlatre allegedly handed the teller a note demanding money.  No one was hurt during the robbery.

.Schlatre was booked into jail at the Bi-State Justice Center.
