It's a jam-packed weekend of events in the ArkLaTex.  From parades to festivals to 5Ks, there's something for everyone.  Here's a rundown of events:

Saturday:

Kiwanis Pancake Festival(7:30 A.M. - 1:30 A.M. at Riverview Hall) -  If you're looking to get your fill of flapjacks this weekend while supporting a good cause, then head on out to the 43rd Annual Kiwanis Pancake Festival  Tickets are five dollars at the door.   Proceeds from the event will go toward school programs in our community.

Shamrock Color 5K & St. Patrick's Day Block Party (2 -6 P.M. Festival Plaza) - 5K participants will do a loop on Clyde Fant Parkway and be splattered with a rainbow of color every kilometer.

St. Patrick's Day Parade (noon in Broadmoor neighborhood) -  4Shreveport organizes the parade every year and raises money for a different charity.  This year all of the proceeds will go towards Volunteers for Youth Justice's programs.  I starts and ends at the corner of Albany and Anniston.

49th Annual Louisiana Red Bud Festival (all day in Vivian) - Kick it off with a big pancake breakfast at Vivian City Park from 7-9:30 A.M.  Then, take a walk downtown to enjoy arts and crafts and festival food booths.  Finally, the Red Bud Parade starts at 2 PM and will roll down highway 1.

Sunday:

Patty in the Plaza (3-10 P.M.) - $10 admission gets you in to see tons of live bands,   vendors, and of course, green beer.  The featured bands are the Dubonauts, Identity Crisis, Moulin Dudes and The Chee-Wees.
