Updated: March 13, 2013
Louisiana State Police will be conducting DWI checkpoints twice over the next three days.

Officials with the Louisiana State Police will hold the first checkpoint Wednesday night between 11:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. at an undisclosed location in Bossier Parish.

The second checkpoint will be conducted Friday, March 15, from approximately 11:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., also at an undisclosed location in Bossier Parish.

According to Matt Harris, Public Information Officer with the Louisiana State Police, in 2012, State Police Troop G investigated 27 fatal crashes.

Harris says six of the crashes, or 22%, involved impaired drivers.

To report impaired drivers, motorists are encouraged to dial *LSP (*577) from their cellular phone.
