Authorities have arrested two individuals suspected of running meth labs in Caddo Parish.
According to the offices of Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator and Shreveport Police Chief Willie Shaw, agents with the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Task Force took the suspects into custody on Tuesday.
Raymond Gipson, 30, was living in a friend's shed on Jefferson Paige Road. Police say Gipson was in possession of instruments commonly used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. All the items were found in that backyard shed.
Authorities also found an active meth lab in the back of a Dodge Ram truck along South Lakeshore Drive.
The owner of the truck, Kelly Johnson, 50, was later arrested for possession of a clandestine lab.
Clean-up crews from Baton Rouge had to be called in to dispose of the hazardous chemicals.
Both Gipson and Johnson remain housed at the Caddo Correctional Center awaiting further court appearances.
