A man is in jail for allegedly firing multiple shots at a house in the Cedar Grove area.

The incident happened Tuesday in the 400 block of W. 74th Street.

Witnesses told police they saw Devangelo Simmons, 20, shoot several rounds from a handgun at the home while inside a black Oldsmobile.  Simmons immediately fled the scene.

The house had minor damage but no one was injured in the shooting.

Later that day authorities received a call that Simmons had returned to the neighborhood and was driving past the same home.

Police were finally able to stop Simmons in the 7100 block of Burlingame Blvd. and take him into custody.

Simmons has been charged with one count of illegal use of a weapon from a moving vehicle, in addition to taking contraband into a penal facility.

Meanwhile, investigators believe the shooting stemmed from a dispute between Simmons and the people who lived in the targeted house.
