James Friday: Benton Alderman District 4

Here are some comments from James Friday on why he thinks he should be re-elected as Benton Alderman for District 4:
- What are your qualifications for the position? As a small business owner with years of management experience, I bring leadership and a business perspective to the table. I care about the Town of Benton and have been the Alderman for District 4 for two terms (8 years). I have experience in water management, construction, and am a proven leader. I pride myself in keeping up with the current legislation and needs of our community.
- What do you think are the biggest challenges facing your town/city/district? During my 8 years of service, in partnership with the past two mayors and town council, we have been working hard on infrastructure to replace the aging streets and water/sewer lines without raising any rates to the tax paying public. When re-elected for an additional term, these issues will remain a priority to continue the growth of the Town of Benton through new residents and commercial development.
- If elected what will you do to help your constituents? I will continue to serve the needs of my constituents with an open door policy, addressing their concerns no matter how small or large. I will continue to respond with immediacy to all calls as I have during my past 8 years of service for District 4.
