Manhunt underway in DeSoto Parish

A suspect is on the run after fleeing state police during a traffic stop.

Friday afternoon authorities attempted to pull over a blue Jeep Wrangler driven by Westley Hudman on US 84 due to a violation but the he took off.

A short while later Hudman led police on a short chase down Buffalo Road before jumping out of the vehicle and running into a wooded area.

Investigators have confirmed the jeep was stolen out of Gregg Co. Texas.  They have set up a perimeter and are trying to locate Hudman.

Anyone with information on Hudman's whereabouts is asked to call   Louisiana State Police Troop G at (318) 741-7411.

Missing dog gets reunited with owner
