Excitement brewing over grand opening of new hotel

A dual-branded hotel that is expected to bring big bucks to Shreveport-Bossier will soon open its doors.

In less than 24 hours the Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites Hotel will be officially open for business.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites on 2015 Old Minden Road.

The hotel helps Shreveport-Bossier hit its 10,000 room mark which makes the area more attractive for meetings and conventions.
