It's an event that lets you support the local arts while sipping the area's best martinis. Bossier Arts Council's annual Artini fundraiser is this weekend.
Proceeds from the event go towards the council's mission of cultivating the arts and culture of Bossier Parish. Each year, Bossier Arts Council picks a local artist to be featured, and this year it's Tony Reans. His collection brings zombies, pirates, robots and ninjas together for cocktails.
"Each restaurant participates for the best 'Artini' which is their own invention. It's something they're not currently serving at their restaurant but they'll add to their menu after the event," said Leigh Anne Chambers, Bossier Arts Council Executive Director.
This is the fourth year for Artini, and organizers expect between 600 and 800 people to attend the party Saturday night. It starts at 7 P.M. at Boomtown Casino. Tickets are $45 in advance and $55 at the door.
