Mag GlassShreveport Police detectives are hoping that clothing found at the scene where human remains were located earlier this month will be the key to finding out the person's identity. Workers with Goodwill Industries found the bones in a field near West 60th Street and Wallace on Feb. 7. While it appeared the remains had been there for at least six months or more, the identity of the person has never been determined. Preliminary reports indicate that the remains belonged to a black female. However, there are no missing person's reports that seem to match that description. Besides the bones, officers found human tissue and pieces of clothing on and near the body. A picture of what is believed to be a skirt is attached to this e-mail. It is hoped that someone from the area where the body was found will recognize the clothing and notify police. Anyone who many have information about this case is asked to call Detective Jeff Brown at 673-6955 or Crime Stoppers at 673-7373. They may also e-mail tips to www.crimestoppersshreveportcaddo.com
