LSUS head baseball coach Rocke Musgraves has a coaching tree that extends from Shreveport into Canada, but three branches from that tree are growing just a fence away from Pilot field.
Three coaches from Byrd high school are LSUS products. Head Yellowjacket baseball coach Al Cantwell's filled his staff with ex-Pilots to form one of the areas strongest high school baseball programs.
