Students at W.T. Lewis are putting their reading skills to the test in a national challenge.

"Read The Most From Coast To Coast" is an event challenging students to join together to break the number of AR quizzes taken in one day.

Accelerated Reader quizzes measure reading comprehension and monitor the child's individual reading practice.

The record to break is over 3 million quizzes, and teachers say it's a great motivator. W.T. Lewis added an extra incentive for students to participate.

The class that takes the most quizzes today will get a free dress day on Monday.
