Tuesday nights Town Hall Meeting on Hollywood Avenue is the second of seven meetings to be held throughout each council district in Shreveport. Last week almost two hundred concerned citizens from District G had a chance to discuss concerns with Mayor Glover and other city officials. Last night was District F's chance to meet with the Mayor and discuss what needs to be done to improve their community. According to some residents in District F the amount of empty homes and the homes that stay empty at certain hours of the day have become drug havens and breeding grounds for crime. Mayor Glover told residents his plan to eliminate the problem. Also on the minds and thoughts of many who attended, the loitering problem and people doing the loitering have alledgedly  made threats to the elderly. The Mayor promises these threats will be addressed and discussed how to enforce regulation of homeowners who rent out their homes.  Mayor Glover feels Shreveport might need to consider a renters code.
