You can help provide meals to volunteers over Spring Break

By: Nikki Henderson
Updated: February 28, 2013

Volunteers of America need your help feeding a group of spring breakers.

Next month some Iowa students will be visiting Shreveport on a cross-country service trip.

They will be spending March 18-19 at the Highland Center and you can   help with one of the following:

  • Dinner for the volunteers and the LightHouse Teen Club (about 60 people)
  • Breakfast for the volunteers (about 45 students)
  • Brown bag lunch (again about 45 students)

The students will spend the evening of March 18 with the LightHouse kids and the morning of March 19 landscaping the Veterans Transitional Living Program.

If you can help, contact Carolyn Hammond at Carolyn.hammond@voanorthla.org.
