Authorities on the lookout for drunk drivers

Shreveport Police go the extra mile to keep city streets safe for you and your family.

Tonight officers will be patrolling the eastern part of the city looking for impaired drivers.

The Safety Checkpoint will run from 10 p.m. Thursday until 4 a.m. Friday.

The Louisiana Highway Safety Commission will also be utilizing its "BAT Mobile" in an effort to reduce the number of people who drink and drive.
