A friendly debate celebrating Black History Month takes place at a local university

This morning community leaders joined students and staff at Southern University in Shreveport to take part in the event.

There were two teams.

One representing the positive, the other the negative side.

The topic was the lack of Congressional support when dealing with the fiscal cliff.

This was the 13th debate SUSLA hosted.

To hear from the program coordinator watch the video.
