What's next for tax at Mall Saint Vincent?

Will citizens have to foot the bill for upgrades at a local mall?  The Shreveport City Council is asking for the public's input on a 1% sales tax at Mall Saint Vincent.

The funds would go toward a $14 million renovation of the mall.  Owner---Rouse properties wants the council to turn the mall into an economic development district.

Councilman Jeff Everson says it's been done in other parts of the state. The public can speak out about the matter at the March 12th council meeting.
