It was lights, camera, action at the Robinson Film Center party Sunday night.
The non-profit hosted an Oscar watch party. More than 350 people were in attendance and eight $15,000 donors were honored.
Robinson Film Center Board President Waynette Ballengee said they've been trying to host an official Oscar Watch party for the past five years.
"We really
did not get capture the attention of the Academy until Moonbot Studios won the Oscar
last year," said Ballengee.
She said board members sent emails to the academy for six months before the Robinson Film Center was added to the list of 50 non-profits from across the country hosting official Oscar watch parties. It was a major fundraiser for the non-profit.
