Fatal shooting suspect in custody

A man wanted in connection with a fatal shooting, is now in police custody after surrendering to authorities Friday night.
At about 11:15pm, 17-year-old, Almetric Curry of Shreveport, came to the Shreveport Police headquarters with family members to turn himself in.
During an ongoing investigation, detectives with the Shreveport Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit were able to gather information linking Curry to the fatal shooting death of 17-year-old Demarcus Jones.
Following interviews with investigators, Curry was booked into the Shreveport City Jail where he has been charged with a single count of negligent homicide.
