Local cab driver remains in serious condition

A local cab driver involved in a fatal accident over the weekend remains in serious condition at LSU-Health in Shreveport. 32-year-old Jessica Umphries was driving the Action Taxi cab that crashed on I-20 early Sunday morning. The passenger in the cab died from injuries suffered in the crash. Police are investigating to se whether alcohol may have played a factor in the accident.
