A car accident in Shreveport sends two people to the hospital.

The crash happened around 8 p.m. Tuesday on East Preston.

Kevin Castro, who was driving a 2008 Chevy Cobalt, was traveling at a low rate of speed after having a blow out.  Two other vehicles that were behind Castro were also traveling at a slow rate of speed.

Gerald Buntyn was driving a 2008 Dodge Avenger at a high rate of speed when he topped a hill and noticed the slow moving vehicles.  When Buntyn swerved to avoid the cars he lost control and collided with Castro.

Castro and Buntyn were both released after being treated at area hospitals for their injuries.
