The fight is on to stamp out hunger in Caddo Parish

You can play a role in making sure the elderly in Caddo Parish have food on their table.

Tuesday the Caddo Council on Aging is launching its 9th Annual March for Meals Campaign.

The goal of the project is to raise money and awareness to fight hunger among older residents.

The Meals On Wheels program delivers over 5000 meals every week to home-bound, isolated and at risk clients.  It also provides vital social interaction, health assessments and injury detection.

March for Meals 2013 kicks off at 11 a.m. at Festival Plaza on 200 Crockett Street.
