Two of the biggest topics at this year's summit were education and the local economy.
And while many might have ideas on how to improve those two issues, some may not know who to take their suggestions to.
So that's what the event was for.
4 workshops were held, all of which focused on how to start and market a successful business.
Assistant Director, Belena Turner says it's important for the community to realize that there are people who want to help.
"I would hope that they would walk away with the feeling that we're all in this together and that we can work together to try and make things better and not feel like we're each alone with our problems and there's no solution."
One of the solutions given on how to improve a business was the concept of networking.
Several bussinesses, state officials and other leaders were on hand to explain how that is key in making the community more successfu.
Those who put on this year's summit are calling it a success. But they are hoping for more of a turnout from the general public in year's to come.
