Claiborne Parish Sheriff's Deputies say Calvin Boone of Fulton, Illinois was driving too fast when he hit a curve on Fellowship Road near Homer. According to the official accident report, Boone was driving his 1997 Dodge Ram west when he lost control in a curve and over-corrected in an attempt to get back into his lane. The over-correction reportedly sent Boone's truck crashing into several trees. The impact forced Boone out of the driver's seat and several feet from the truck. Emergency workers rushed him to Homer Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. Boone was not wearing his seat-belt.
