Grambling president invites student leaders to lunch

By: Nancy Cook
Updated: February 14, 2013

In observance of Presdients' Day, Dr. Frank G. Pogue, president of Grambling State University has invited presidents of Grambling campus student organizations to join him for lunch Monday in McCall Dining Hall at Grambling.

The luncheon is being held in order to provide opportunities for student leaders to speak with Pogue and share ideas and feedback on the university.

Members of the president's executive leadership team - vice presidents, deans and key department and program leaders will be sitting at dining tables throughout the hall in order to chat with and listen to students.

There will not be an agenda or program, so students can share concerns, encouragement, ideas and support with Pogue and his cabinet members, known as the President's Executive Council (PEC).

Pogue, who regularly walks the campus and sometimes dines with students in the dining hall, wants to provide an open forum for student-specific listening, including his executive leadership team.
