Former Executive Director Michelle Green has been sentenced to 37 months in prison for defrauding the HHA out of more than $400,000.

Green, 35, must also repay the money to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The scheme involved checks being issued to friends and relatives of Green for work they were doing for the HHA but the work was never done.

The checks were cashed and some of the money went back to Green.

Five others were also sentenced in this case.
