If you travel on US 171 in Shreveport, you need to find a different route.

The southbound roadway of US 171 will be shut down at Milam Street so that crews can repair a water main.

The road will be closed starting Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 9:00 a.m. and will reopen Friday, Feb. 22 at 5:00 p.m.

DOTD officials say all southbound traffic will be detoured west on Milam Street to Jewella Avenue but the northbound traffic will not be affected.
