A man is behind bars in connection with a double homicide in Cass County.

John Jones, 47, was taken into custody Monday on a charge of capital murder.

Jones is accused in the shooting deaths of his wife Dyrika Jones, 42, and Doyle Pollard, 49.  Last November they were found dead at a home in the 400 block of County Road 4683 near Atlanta.

Initially after the murders Jones was interviewed but later released after questioning.  Now detectives say after additional evidence was obtained they believe Jones may have committed the crime.

At the conclusion of the investigation the case will be presented to the Cass County district attorney's office for prosecution.
