In a display of cuteness, children from The Arc of Caddo-Bossier got an early start celebrating Fat Tuesday.
The center is for children from age eight weeks through five years old with developmental disabilities. Each classroom got to participate in a very special Mardi Gras parade attended by their teachers and parents.
Executive director, Janet Parker, explains how getting these children involved in festivities is a way to expose them to our culture.
"The little bitty ones are receiving beads and they're getting that. The bigger ones are wanting to give beads. It's a developmental model," said Parker.
The Krewe of Justinian was on hand to help with the bead-throwing. Krewe members make it a point to come to The Arc for their Mardi Gras parade every year.
