Thanks to a 30 million dollar HUD Choice Initiative Grant, new visions are being planned for the City of Shreveport.
It's not just about changing downtown, but the surrounding "Choice Neighborhoods", like Allendale and Ledbetter Heights.
"It would be a dream come true. We need basics like a grocery store, parks, community involvment, a school," long time resident Reenee Mahoney-Hooks said.
The City of Shreveport is only one out of twenty-five cities in the nation to receive the grant.
